Went in mid-ride with a free spinning wheel and the owner took me in immediately and fixed my old but trusted bike like new. Very nice man and great experience. Recommend!

I've been a customer since James opened this shop in the 70's (yes the 70's - 40 years ago), and forty years later I would never trust my bike to anyone else. In fact I travel almost an hour just to bring my bike to James. Not only is he super nice, and super-knowledgeable, (and super-reasonably priced), he is super-talented as a bike mechanic.
One day and my bike was like new! I bought a bike from Jim 15 years ago and I don't go nowhere else. He is skillful and has kept me on the road. I am grateful he is here in Nyack
Over the many years I've been cycling, I have purchased four bikes from James Skelley, and each one, carefully chosen under his expert guidance, has been a wonderful addition to my life. My current bike is a Trek Madone, all components custom-selected in consultation with James, and has been a perfect ride for me ever since. This is a bike guy who has loved what he does for decades and his guidance today is as fresh and extraordinarily helpful as ever it was. And for value-added, he is always generously available to answer questions and solve whatever cycling problems you may have, however long ago you bought the bike. You would have to go a very long way to find another bike shop that would begin to compare with Nyack Bicycle Outfitters. Highly recommended.
I trust my and my loved ones' mechanical safety on their bikes to James. He's given me forty years of trust-building experience (and there have been times when I have lived far enough way I had to use someone else, and they have never measured up).
When you think about how fast you travel on your bike with only air between you and the road if something goes wrong, having the utmost faith and confidence in the person tuning up and caring for your bike is profoundly wonderful. It reminds me of the tire commercial with the baby sitting in the middle of the tire, and the tag line about when what is riding on your tires is precious you turn to Michelin (?).
